Our Pricing Structure

Straight run is a great choice for those who can have roosters where they are at or have the means to rehome roosters that they don't want. Chicks are generally 50/50 females to males on straight run but individual selections may vary. If you dont want to risk roosters, we recommend selecting DNA sexed female chicks instead.

DNA verified female chicks are a great option for those who cannot have roosters and don't want the heartbreak of rehoming roosters they have grown attached to. Note that we can DNA sex as early as 1 day old but generally we choose to DNA sex chicks at 1+ weeks old. DNA is 99.9% accurate but there will occasionally be a chick that is DNA verified that will end up being a rooster. It is very rare but does happen. 

We don't generally have many of these in stock but we do sometimes have some females that were held back as possible breeders and if they don't make the cut for our breeding program, we let them go around 3 months old, sometimes sooner or later. These girls in this category will be under 6 months old and not yet laying eggs.

We very rarely have hens available. However, if you are looking for an adult hen, contact us to see what we have. Hen prices vary but start at $100. We are willing to let just about any hen in the flock go for $250. If you are looking and are aware what a grown quality hen will cost, hit us up! We may have what you are looking for.

Rooster chicks available free with the purchase of any female chick(s). If you are in need of bulk sourced male chicks, contact us for bulk orders. We can accommodate.

Hatching eggs are sold by the dozen. We include extras whenever we can. Eggs are stored indoors in a climate controlled facility and are only our freshest eggs less than 3 days old. Please note that just because you get 12 eggs, does not mean you will get 12 chicks. Hatch rates fluctuate based on time of year, incubators, and many many more factors. we do not guarantee hatch rates. Hatch rate does not = fertility rate.

Shipped eggs will always run lower hatch rates than local pick up due to the stress that shipping imposes on eggs. Expect 30% or less hatch rate. Many of our customers have much higher rates but 30% is the standard.

$100 for closer to Los Molinos, CA. Increases the further you get from Los Molinos. We always use 3 day priority express and only ship chicks 2 weeks of age or older. We ship with food and water gel to get them a weeklong journey in case of delays. Please understand there are risks associated with shipping and USPS does not insure live birds in transit.

We run deliveries bi-monthly down to Sacramento, Fresno and southern CA. Delivery to Sacramento = $100; Fresno = $200; Southern CA = $300. If we can tack on multiple deliveries in one trip, we can justify lower fees so tell your friends to go in on it! Delivery may be avalailable to neighboring states as well.
